FWIW, Discourse has an email interface. I'm not sure what is meant by "unclear boundary between issues and discussions"—that is not something our mailing list provides either. > If we move, importing the mailing list archives will clearly be important > though, any replacement should be able to do this. python.org allows us to download an mbox backup of numpy-discussion, and this archive can be imported into discourse.
