I wasn't able to recreate the situation where rpc/keyserv went into maintenance
mode when /etc/defaultdomain wasn't present and domainname(1M) wasn't set. The
fix pushed removed /etc/defaultdomain and sets the domainname(1M) to " " if NIS
and/or LDAP is not configured for a location.
If the rpc/keyserv shows up in maintenance mode or any other service fails,
please reopen this bug.
