Just wanted to clarify this: you mean the domainname is cleared if NIS
and/or LDAP is not configured for a location, *and* a domainname value
is not provided, right?

Configuration NIS and/or LDAP requires that a domainname be given, but
I think we also allow one to be given if neither NIS or LDAP is configured,
and in that case, we will set the given value.
