Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge (MNWR) and Montezuma Wetlands Complex (MWC)

     6/9: 9 Shorebird species including BLACK-BELLIED PLOVER and WHITE-RUMPED 
SANDPIPER were seen along the Wildlife Trail. 

     6/10: An AMERICAN WHITE PELICAN was seen from East Road.

     6/11: A PROTHONOTARY WARBLER was again seen in the forested area of 
Armitage Road.

     6/13: A COMMON LOON and 2 RUDDY TURNSTONES were seen along the Wildlife 
Drive. A (the) AMERICAN WHITE PELICAN was seen at VanDyne Spoor Road and was 
present through the 15th. A CERULEAN WARBLER was seen on Howland Island. 

     6/14: 3 BLACK TERNS, a SANDHILL CRANE and a BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT-HERON were 
seen from East Road. A BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT-HERON was seen at the Guy 
Baldassarre Marsh. 2 SANDHILL CRANES and 10 BLACK TERNS were seen at VanDyne 
Spoor Marsh.







Cayuga County

     6/12: A PROTHONOTARY WARBLER was again seen along the Seneca River west of 
Bonta Bridge Road. A RED-HEADED WOODPECKER was again present at Fair Haven 
State Park.







Onondaga County

------------




     6/8: A SAW-WHET OWL was heard in the Morgan Hill State forest. It has been 
heard through the 14th.

     6/9: A PRAIRIE WARBLER was again found at Green Lakes State Park and was 
found through the 14th. A CERULEAN WARBLER was found on Riverside Drive in Clay.

     6/10: A BARNACLE GOOSE was seen and photographed at Three Rivers WMA north 
of Baldwinsville.

     6/11: A BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT-HERON was heard and recorded in Three Rivers 
WMA. 2 GRASSHOPPER SPARROWS were found at Cedar Bay Park in Fayetteville.

     6/12: A PEREGRINE FALCON was seen at the Seneca River Preserve near Timber 
Banks Golf Course.

     6/14: An ORCHARD ORIOLE was seen at Green Lakes State Park.

     6/15: An ACADIAN FLYCATCHER continues at Whiskey Hollow Nature Preserve 
west of Baldwinsville.







Oswego County

     6/8: A WHIP-POOR-WILL was heard near Cleveland on Rt. 49.

     6/12: 2 PIPING PLOVERS were again found at Sandy Island Beach State Park.







Madison County

------------




     6/13: A FRANKLIN’S GULL was found in with nearly 800 Ring-billed Gulls on 
Ditch Bank Road north of Canastota. It has continued to be seen through today.

     6/14: An ORCHARD ORIOLE was found on Ditchbank Road. 

     6/15: 2 FISH CROWS were heard on Ditchbank Road.







Oneida County

------------




     6/9: RED-HEADED WOODPECKERS were again found on lakeshore Road and Verona 
Beach State Paor at the east end of Oneida Lake.







Herkimer County

------------




     6/9: 5 RED CROSSBILLS were found at Bald Mountain south of Inlet. 

     6/10: 2 GRASSHOPPER SPARROWS were found on VanValkenburg Road east of 
Richfield Springs.

     6/12: A BLACK-BACKED WOODPECKER was heard on the Third Lake Trail near Old 
Forge.
