The client can still do everything themselves if they wish. However if I told my clients to go and buy hosting they would have difficulty. It is much better to have a system in place where they can sign up for hosting with the designer there and then. Not all designers offer this service The designers we work with, can pass our site onto their client so they can easily get the correct package. Or we can set up a custom package for them. The other benefit is that they are our partners so we offer them discount rates, which is passed on to their clients.
Were not a 'special hoster', we just offer good value packages that are as good or better than the larger companies; and we offer the partnership angle to fellow design businesses.
