Nobody has said the original job is full of bugs, so that's a pretty 
radical assumption to make. Websites need to be maintained, it's normal. 
The OP was saying they were disputing "the nature of the request", which 
I interpret them as asking for something to be done without properly 
realising what is involved or how much it might cost.

If they are refusing to pay for the maintenance job, then you should 
have the right to roll back the changes to how it was before the upgrade 
- regardless of which server it is on. This is alike to the concrete 
contractor who has to dig up a driveway because of non-payment so it's 
not a great situation.
