A word of introduction. I'm Grant from Ottawa, and I've been cycling long
distances for over 25 years. I have a Marinoni road bike with tubulars, and
am looking forward to joining the Rideau lakes tour in 2 weeks. I've cycled
to Montreal a few times on my own, and have rarely rode with a group, so I
appreciate that element of the adventure too.
I have a pair of polymer Shimano SPDs that are 8 years old and still wearing
great, the best shoes of any kind I've ever owned. The hex attatchments to
the cleat clips loosens occasionally, but I can still tighten them, and the
pedals are still functioning well.
