Yesterday there was an incident on a club ride with an irate driver who
used his car as a weapon. One member was close to being taken out.
Fortunately, there was no physical contact.
In order to get the police to take action against such behaviour, you must
identify the driver, the vehicle and its plate number. Report incidents as
soon as you can get to a phone. Even if you don't get all the details,
register a complaint anyway (and let the Touring director know) as we need
our point of view recorded. Now that many drivers have cell phones, one or
two of them have nothing better to do than complain to the police about being
delayed for a few seconds.
Hopefully on our side, we all will continue to be considerate of the
needs of other road users so as not to give them any grounds for complaint.
Thanks
Avery
