I am new in the list, but not new in cycling, once I even was a member of Russian
national team. From my experience riding in the pack I can tell you
that safest way to ride a pack is to stay as wide as you can on the road, taking all
line. It will make motorists to slow down before passing a pack. Sure it is not
pleasant way, as you can hear complains from the drivers, but safer way, as drivers
will slow down. If pack stay to close to the right, drivers will try
to pass you without slowing down, and it is even more dangerous.
