The Hunt Club and Moodie intersection is designed bring the cyclists
back into traffic before coming to the intersection. This is to
avoid being side swiped by turning trucks. Nothing is stopping you
from treating this section as a paved shoulder, as long as you
are aware of vehicles turning.

It was a compromise to reduce the turning radius for cars. This is
and will be the standard for most rural intersections in this city.

Although there is no sign to warn you (I have asked for signs, but
the city did not warrant there use) the pavement marking should
suffice.

Any rural road cyclists should always be wary about crossing
intersections, paved shoulder or bike lane. Urban cyclists
as well.

The bike facility ending sign that is used on some routes is
poor. A bike merging sign, as you describe, would be better.
Why do you suggest it to the new cycling committee (when they
get appointed).
