The Saturday rides, according to Tom Stratton, Touring Director, don't start
until after Rideau Lakes w/end. These tend to be remote start rides (i.e.
other than Billings Bridge). There don't seem to be any details on the OBC
website as yet. I guess, "Stay tuned!"

Brian:
You showed a lot of character doing a ride on a 30 pound Department
store bike! In answer to your question about group rides, they are held on
Sundays (which you know already), Saturdays and on Tuesday evenings. Perhaps
Tuesday or Saturday might be what you are looking for. There is information
on the website that also might be useful:

Saturday:

Welcome back to Ottawa and I hope that helps,

Sunday and it was the type of ride I am looking for. Unfortunately my fast
bikes are in storage and I had to use my 30 pound department store bike I
bought in 1973, man I got my 5 dollars worth on that ride!!!

Riding in Ottawa seems great, very bike friendly and oriented compared to
Dallas Texas. There appear to be riders everywhere but no groups other that
Sundays OBC, have asked several riders about this and they usually give me
blank stare and mention checking out the OBC. While in Dallas I went
car-less for a year, still had a choice of 12 various large to small group
rides every week within 10 miles of home, generally I was riding 4 to 5
times for an average of 200-240 miles per week.

that in Ottawa.

groups. It could have been the nature of riding in Dallas with it's high
number of racers or the safety factor groups provided from the red-necks, I
found it's way more INTERESTING and CHALLENGING.
