Brian, I think that I know what you're looking for in a group ride and the only organized OBC club ride that is fast (race-like) is the Sportif and Extra Sportif rides, Sunday morning. The Extra Sportif ride is just a half a notch slower than the Reliability ride. The racers don't very often gather for big group rides for some reason, other than the Tuesday night "A" criterium (44 KPH average on a tight 4 corner circuit) and the alternate Tuesday Gatineau Park ride. If you ask at Peccos, Full Tilt and Sportable, you might find some other fast groups going out.
Thee is a group of OBC Vets that go to Montreal area races. The Quebec Vets are excellent racers. The races are fast and animated.
