You need to read up on multicasting some.  The TTL defines how "far" the
stream will be propogated.  Multicasting is going to broadcast a single
stream to every port so there will be activity on all of them.  When it
gets to the router, it will decrement the TTL and if it is >0, multicast
on the uplink - IF it is also a multicast router.  Some (most?) routers
will just ignore the muticast stream and it will never get any further
than your network edge.  Linux boxes will need the "MULTICAST_ROUTE"
(type) option, and hardware boxes like cisco, etc, will need to be
programmed to allow it (dunno for sure, but expect it to be disabled by
default).
