I think this is veering off topic, but useful commands in debian:

apt-get update; apt-get autoclean; apt-get -udy dist-upgrade
 (I run this nightly)
dpkg -S <file>
Search for a file, report the package it's in
dpkg -s <pkg>
Report the status of a package
dpkg -L <pkg>
List the contents of a package
apt-find
Used to be cool. Now just kinda cool. Good for searching.

I'm not familiar with rpm/filerunner; alien is sweet though.

Netscape is just always a problem. :\

I've started to create a .deb for Obsequiem (that's how I spelt it) and
will have some patches to contribute back - should I just post them to
the list when I get that far?
