Returning home (from Philippi) along Rosmead Avenue this morning at about 09h45, I passed a spot in Rosmead Avenue where it seemed to me that the police were securing a crime scene.
On asking what had happened there I was told (by two residents from the area) that a man of approximately 60 years old had been jogging along Rosmead Avenue at around 06h30 this morning when someone ran up and stabbed him "....in the heart". Apparently the injured jogger then staggered into the road (Rosmead Avenue) where he collapsed and died.
