I'm not sure about that, I'm trying to find out. I've had this
response from PSIRA:

Dear Sir

The business in question is definitely not registered.

Senior Inspector Eddie Booysens is curently conducting an
investigation into
the affairs of the business.

It also needs to be mentioned that in terms of the Act there is a
responsbility on the public to make sure, prior to utilizing the
services of
any security business that such security business is registered with
the
Authority.

Should you have any further queries in this regard, please liaise
directly
with Mr. Booysens at: [email protected]

It's taken me a few weeks to get the registration number from
Observatory Armed Response, and I was assured, by Barney, that they
were, in fact, registered, so I think that I've discharged my
statutory duty. This might be a problem for other people who are using
the service - I'm not sure, what the implications are, though.
