I'm not sure what zone you folk fall under down there ? Here in the red zone (Main Rd to Lwr Main; and Station to Rochester) we have a few patrollers who hit the road at different times during the night to assist the SAPS, and of late also Vetus Schola, to try to stem the criminal tide. On the whole Vetus Schola is quick to respond to 2-way radio calls. Does anyone in your neck of the woods have 2-way radios ? They can come in handy at times when a quick response is needed from either the SAPS or (...now) Vetus Schola. The red zone is the hottest zone crime-wise and we're reasonably fortunate in that there are now a good few residents who have acquired two-way radios. They definitely help and they now cost about R2000 I think. Have you thought about clubbing together to get a couple of radios for your zone to facilitate a greater connectedness both between yourselves and SAPS/Vetus Schola ?
All the best down there. I know it's never easy..... On Nov 25, 3:42 pm, Johann du Plooy <[email protected]> wrote: > I would gladly attend as a rep.
