I do understand your frustration. Unfortunately those of us who write to
this forum are not the culprits. Yesterday I saw a man allowing his dog to
take a huge crap on the pavement in Station Road, I glared at him (I was
driving and unable to stop) and he burst out laughing..... . Sigh.

Obviously responsible dog owners like Julia and Bev were not who my
comments were aimed at! Re the shit there is a big difference between
the pavement and 3 meters into one’s property while the owner stands
and watches.( My experience) I love dogs too and freedom of choice.
That’s not what I was on about.
Clear thinking there Julia.
I prefer not to be told whether I may or may not own a dog ( = lesser
mortal
?), irrespective of the size of the house/property I live in or
on......unless of course I become guilty of flagrant abuse.
I probably would not have chosen to have a doggie but......after a
traumatic
break-in in 2005 - which spun me around 360 degrees - I decided that a
barking dog would help me considerably in the event of experiencing
another
break-in.
Perhaps I should add that I also try to keep her barking to within the
prescribed 3-minute-limit (.....as set by the Moderators).
I certainly always try to remember her poo-bag but I have been known to
lapse here ( = senior moments ?).
I also understand that folk get frustrated by the amount of dogsh*t around
the dorp.
To get things into better perspective for myself..........at least I don't
live in Haiti right now....On Tue, Jan 19, 2010 at 3:38 PM, Julia Teale
