Fantastic that ADT should send a reply via you - but they really should reply for themselves to their subscribers directly by this group!
In reality the ICASA fee for a radio license (from my dealing s with the ONW radios) is about R55 rand per annum. (it may have changed but thats a ball parkk figure) So any fee they charge above that is as for they have now explained for use an maintenance and upkeep etc. So it would be nice if they actually bothered to explain that n the invoice. That sounds about the same response that I got last year when I complained - I had even forgotten. The explanation provided still does not explain why loyal customers feel like they have been screwed over when newer customers get on board with THE SAME services for up to R150 less!!! Obviously the rental amount would make a difference so I can fully accept that - no one mentioned whether they paid for the systems themselves or if they were supplied bu ADT at no charge up front. There has been an offer from a security firm whose name I will not mention who has promised even lower rates to those who are members of the Observatory Neighborhood Watch. This offer needs to be discussed by the ONW committee but I can assure you it is firmly on the table.
