Hi Colleen I understand your worry.... I reckon that the SPCA inspectors are trained to look out for the signs though..... Also.........the vet picked up no sign/s of abuse when on examining the dog. If this doggie had been hit with a solid object there'd surely be signs on his body ?
A dog will *always* go back to it's owner, yes...... But it will show signs of being cowed / scared / timid if it is being abused. SPCA chap said there were definitely no signs of fear (when it was handed back to its owner) which he could pick up from this JR. Hope this helps ? I also still have an outer edge of doubt here which I'm trying to cast off....
