I decided I was paying far too much for ADT and know of people paying less than I so I called them up and negotiated a lower fee. I was told that I could have my fee reduced from 403 to 343 which is the new take on rate according to the operator. I then said thanks thats nice but a discounts not a discount unless you bargain for it - he went away an came back a few seconds alter saying that he could give me the special price of R313.50 and he woudl implement i on 1 Aug needing a full calendar month notice to change the contract (I have been a subscriber since 2003 so am out of the 36 month period of the initial contract).
I said I though I knew people paying less and what could I do if they were - and he said provide documentation and they could match the rate. Therefore is anyone on this group paying less than 313.50 or knows anyone paying less than that in the Obs area please post. I know we have had discussions in the past which sometimes degenerate into mud slinging. Lets refrain from that and keep the discussion on topic which is ADT Rates. Not ADT performance or any other issues but just ADT Rates. Not how much any other service provider charges that is less than ADT or better than ADT. Just ADT Rates. One more time for those who are slow to take this sort of thing up ADT RATES DISCUSSION ONLY!!!
