Hi James and ONW residents,

Thank you for this information, but to organize a meeting of the new security
company with only five hours warning is of no help to residents who are
working and have their diaries planned.

Can a separate meeting not be set up for all the residents including the ones
using Vetus Scholar as their main source of armed response and alarm
monitoring, at a more reasonable time with sufficient warning.

This whole issue has been done very underhandedly. But not something I would
have expected from a professional company.

Thanks,

Doug.

Dear ONW Google Group Readers and Members
A change has definitely taken place between VS 24/7 AR and Premier Security
ONW became aware of the course of action be default due to the the OAR guard
matter of last week.
Though letters have been delivered yesterday by Premier in relationship with VS
24/7 AR Management the process was not best communicated, ONW too was left in
the lurch./
However, VS has been subsidising their VS armed response vehicle for more that
a year at a great defficit to them in the hope that their clientèle will grow
sufficiently to be able to continue the service, but somehow did not succeed,
and were forced by their very top management to close down their 24/7 service.
This will not affect the normal VS security arrangement via the OBSID funds.
Premier security has always provided the radio link-up for OAR via their
Premier Control room facility that has been running for a number of years.
VS subsequently approached Premier to take over the VS 24/7 AR client.
At the same time Premier is physically taking over the OAR 24/7 AR as well and
will combine the two under the Premier Security service in Observatory.
In communication with OBSID, they are positive to grow the new relationship.
ONW is requesting a formal introduction to be made by Premier Security and will
keep you posted.
A meeting has therefore been set up with Premier Security, the ONW and OBSID
and will utilise the platform of the Obs Comm Police Sub Forum meeting tonight
at 5.30 pm.

I too received the letter from Premier Security yesterday. I am glad
that they are keeping the existing VS staff within the area, but I'm
also glad that they finally took over OAR after all the problems the
people have had in the past with OAR. However, I'm also a bit
concerned should they keep the OAR staff, especially after the
incident between an OAR staff member and resident. I checked on the
web now, and Premier Security is based in the Southern Suburbs and
commenced operation in 2000. They basically cover the area along the
M3 from Marina da Gama to Belle Constantia and Meadowridge. I'm just
wondering if my existing contract is becomign null and void now, and
if the prices will stay the same or what is happening with my existing
contract.

I will gladly continue with Premier Security, if the levels of service
is as per the existing levels which were very good. VS surely made
their mark in Observatory, and I don't want to be part of another
company (like ADT) which hikes prices, don't assign vehicles and have
bad response times.
