Yip. I did. And I stand by that. A discussion around 'religious' noise pollution is not automatically offensive. It depends on the words used; the tone conveyed. It is those with which I took issue.
Having said that, I don't think we'll get anywhere with this discussion in this space. If Chris and others take serious issue with the adhan then there are avenues to follow. (I am very noise sensitive myself, but for me the call to prayer is a symbol of what I love about the location of my home. I'll be moving cities at the end of the year and upon making the decision to move, I realised that the adhan is one of the things I will mourn most.)
