Why, Mono/JRE would be a 'better' option

It would look pretty good for Linux to provide that base that people are looking for, but will Delphi be positioned to be in the mix when iy happens?

This has been true until fairly recently. Now there is NX
    (http://www.nomachine.com/ <http://www.nomachine.com/>). This is a
    commercial product. I have used
the NoMachine NX client in conjunction with the FreeNX server
(http://freenx.berlios.de/) and I can tell you that as a user and
administrator of a Citrix farm, NX is approaching the level of Citrix
and possibly exceeds the capabilities of Terminal Services / RDP. There
are issues, of course, but it is getting there.

I agree. However I think the apps are now there, whereas they weren't
    when Kylix came out.

Maybe. Inroads are being made and have already been made, though.

    Cheers,
