The original ranter claims to be the CEO of "War Cry", which, on the
surface of it, appears to be a gaming company. Could be wrong
there. Never heard of it my self.

<sound of man rummaging over whois and going to www.warcry.com>

Oh. Very _odd_ web site, at least in a text only browser. Not often you
go to a web site for a gaming company and get an online resume of the CFO
of the company.

Going to the web site _does_ explain the sort of well, odd, things
that Mr. Macris was expecting out of OGL. To quote from their web site:

============
Your Problem: People call them the Boxopoly. Who are they? They are the
retail publishers, and they control the game industry. They keep
developers cash-starved and tightly leashed.

Our Solution: WarCry is changing the rules of the game industry. We're
bypassing the middlemen and bringing game developers and gamers into
direct contact. We're empowering game developers to create, promote, and
distribute their games without sacrificing their creative freedom. We're
breaking the Boxopoly.

Oh kay.....

I hate to say "just out of school, in the People Republic of
Massachusetts", but if the shoe fits, wear it.
