Open Gaming is just an extension of the ideas of Open Source to the gaming
industry. Both focus on the giving anyone the ability to freely modify and
redistribute materials released under them. Forgive me for using the terms
interchangable in my previous message.

Thanks for the clarification. I believe that I was too closely analyzing
the wording of the previous messages and not focusing on their intent. It
makes sense to me now. You plan on releasing it under the OGL, making use
of the D20SRD but keeping a large portion of the content closed. But you
make that closed content freely available to distibution so long as it is
not modified. Sounds good to me. This easily fits under the OGL. It fits
under Open Gaming, just the entire setting is not going to be made Open
Content.

Having spend 3 years in technical support and hating it, I think that would
be one type of tech support job that I might enjoy. ;)

Any time. I wish you luck in the project. Maybe one of these days when my
schedule becomes less hectic, I will be able to contribute to the Dunadralis
list myself.
