John-

Actually, the Creature Collection both used stuff from
the SRD (draft) and added things to the pool of open
material through the OGL. All the feats, skills, SAs,
SQs and stats that are in the CC are from the d20 SRD.
Plus, the new feats and abilities detailed in the CC
were added to the pool of Open Game content by its
designation as Open Game Content. So CC both uses SRD
material and adds to the Open Game content that others
can use.

Relics and Rituals also does something similar and in
fact goes further by providing a limited license to
allow developers to use spell names that would
otherwise be Product Identity (PI) and thus not Open
Game Content.

Plus, all the Necromancer modules use open game
content: mostly in monster stats, city stats, NPC
stats, trap stats, etc. All of that stuff comes from
the SRD.
