The business of game development and production is a central issue on this list.
All sensible American businesses are concerned about the legal issues that
affect them and about their exposure to litigation. When you live in a society
where a retailer can be successfully sued, because a customer spilled coffee in
the customer's control on herself, then you live in a society with a great deal
of exposure to high legal costs and to high potential damages from suits,
whether meritorious or not.

If your exposure to business is so slight as to believe that lawyers need a
jargon enforcement conspiracy to stay employed, then you should rethink going
into business at this time.
The most effective way to incur large legal bills is to go out and do one's own
thing without consulting a lawyer first. The people that do this end up being
the cash cows of the legal profession.
