Actually, in this case...nope. I can completely re-describe a rust monster or create an illustration based on the SRD text or even an image and it can be as closed as any Copyrighted Material or Product Identity in my book...because that is what it would be.
Text and Art are exactly the same. They are called "Content". If you designate...OR if you use someone else's OGC as provided under the OGL then it is OGC. If it isn't then it isn't.
