More than you want to spend. Alec is right, the very reason we would
like to use the "20" moniker is the best reason to avoid it - it is
intended to draw a parallel between SRD-based material and d20-branded
material, the very thing that trademarks are designed to prevent. Wiser
to just sidestep the entire issue and built your own complementary
brand.

I like the die with the lid opening, perhaps we could put the words
"Open Gaming" on it, perhaps below the die? I think it would
communicate the point very effectively without getting anywhere near
Hasbro's trademark.

In post discussion after these logos were drawn up it was kind of
decided
that the "Center" logos will probably never be used, because if a
product
can't distinguish it's Genre with the rest of the product dressing --
then a
little label on the back isn't going to help much.

As for the rest, the Open20 Logo (Top Right) has already been used on
one
commercial product where it is printed at 1/4" total height (in Black
and as
an embossment on a gray background) and it is very legible. The Font
used
for the word "FREE" on the Free20 logo will be changed to match the font
used in the Open20 (Top Right) -- to increase readability.

The Center Right Open20 -- is provided as an alternative, it's up to
individual publishers if they wish to use it.
