Yes, it was an error on my part not to mention Better World Roleplaying in
my post. They are an excellent organization (and one that I am involved
with) that is trying to promote roleplaying as an educational tool. I am
also a strong proponent of an eventual plan to create neighborhood programs
revolving around game playing in general, not specifically role playing.
There are already initiatives like this going on around the country and they
are receiving no small amount of support from local and state governments.
