Completely accurate - I just wanted to add an additional point.  One
advantage that WotC does have is that it's easier for them to separately
license OGL material for their use.  For example, anyone else wanting to
use creatures from CC without going the OGL route must get permission from
both Clark Peterson (he's the copyright holder, so technically it is his
permission you need - Clark has said that he actually lets Steve Wieck
handle these issues however) and WotC (the copyright holder of the SRD).
