Interestingly, I was just reading over the Action System Open License and
they've incorporated almost the exact same requirement. Its a save your butt
response because it keeps companies from coming back and saying "You didn't
prevent them from using our trademarks..." and WotC or Gold Rush can say
"But it says so right here, its not our fault." Otherwise there would be so
many Fan based games out there. I myself have the beginnings of a Gargoyle's
D20 sitting on my hard drive and it is just that provision that keeps it off
the web... well, other than message boards in "Draft" form.
