I don't know if "start" is the right word, :-), but, yes, I do think  
it would make it easier for lots of folks if the data carried dcterms  
names, since they already know those. There have been changes to the  
types (http://openlibrary.org/type) related to the recent release, so  
I should go back over my (on paper only) crosswalk. I'm also not sure  
how to express Works v. Manifestations in dcterms... if anyone has any  
insight into that, please share!
