Yes, we WERE talking about different things, but I think I get it now. (The time lapse didn't help -- plus I'm quite jet-lagged at the moment.) > My argument is that HOW is because these two things are describing a > common manifestation (we could take this further and give it a > superproperty of commonFRBREntity, to make it more extensible), which > 99% of cases with our current bibliographic data would be the case. > OK. This would link the OL edition to a citation. That's great. And I like the idea of modeling the OL editions as bibo:Book, so I'll look into that. Then I'd need a relationship from the edition to the Work; I think that would be quite useful (and seems to fit in with a diagram I have of where the BNF is heading with FRBR data). I'm realizing that I really like the idea of being able to FRBR-ize and de-FRBR-ize freely as the situation calls for. And, no, I'm not sure what I mean by that... yet, but I'll keep thinking about it. kc -- Karen Coyle [email protected] http://kcoyle.net ph: 1-510-540-7596 m: 1-510-435-8234 skype: kcoylenet _______________________________________________ Ol-tech mailing list [email protected] http://mail.archive.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/ol-tech To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send email to [email protected]
