[Winona Online Democracy]
A good example of parking problems in around the public library. I will
admit that without the Middle School in operation it is a bit better,
however there is still little parking to be had.
One example is the 45 minute area on Johnson street next to UBC that is
totally disregarded. In fact they watch from the window for the parking
officer (who is over worked and can't police the area very often) and when
they see her, they run out and shift the cars up or back. Meanwhile patrons
who want to use the library are unable to park because UBC workers take up
illegal spaces.
One option would be to use the vacated Middle School building area for a
parking lot of some kind.
Thanks
