   By all means, get your son into scouting.  You will find that such
discrimination is not practiced at the cub scout pack / boy scout troop
level here in Winona (re my post earlier today).  In fact, this issue can
serve as a catalyst for the boys (and their families) to discuss
discrimination, and how even the most well-meaning of organizations can fall
prey to it.  The positive values which a boy receives in scouting far
outweigh the negatives here.
