[Winona Online Democracy]

Steve,
My statistics came from Education Minnesota's newsletter, Minnesota
Educator, April 13, 2001, in an article by co-President Judy Schaubach. I
imagine the stats are available at their website,
<www.educationminnesota.org>

I'm certainly interested to see the basis of Mr. Powell's information.
Personally, when I encounter a teachable moment, I try to go ahead and put
it to educational use. I guess this is more suspenseful. Maybe Mr. Powell
can also teach me how to inject drama into my lessons.

Scott
