I think Mr. Finn is ribbing us in order to provoke discussion. Certainly,
our law enforcement professionals aren't going to be bought by The Harley
Davidson Motor Company, any more than they are going to ignore speeders
driving Ford Crown Victoria cars (or whatever model those cruisers are.)
I look forward to seeing the motorcycle cop on the street and would like to
learn how it serves the police department and Winona. When I was a kid we
always had a MC cop and his high-profile presence had a significant positive
effect. We held a certain special respect in our delinquent little hearts
for the officer.
