Ok, here's my historical problem with this plan. Ignore me if you will.

In 1651-1658, you have several colonies in North America -

The British colonies, which are brand new at the time.

The Spanish colonies, which might be closer to you in Texas.

The French colonies, which are up in Quebec area.

The Dutch colonies, New York and some in the Caribbean.

The Portuguese colonies, which is Brazil.

None of those are Italian or Venetian. Which is fine, except that
we're looking at the idea that, for some reason, an Italian mortal
member of the Sangiovanni family traveled to the New World.
Believable, but... now we *also* have to assume that a *vampire*
member of the Sangiovanni family went over at the same time. Into an
undeveloped colony with minimal mortals.

Its just a bit hard to swallow, and when it gets hard to swallow
historically, that's usually your sign that you are pretty far from
canon.

My suggestion? Reduce the age or be from Italy. Reducing the age is,
I think, the best bet, since age gets you nothing at all in the Lancea
Sanctum and is easy to get rid of without consequences (and you can
keep your colonial background to some degree).

As above, feel free to ignore all of this. But at 1650, you're
looking at being two generations younger than my PC, and with a family
numbering only slightly more than a dozen, the coincidences get more
and more difficult.
