I¹m late to this party, but maybe this will add something to the discussion.
Not sure.

When I originally made Gabriel, as he was old and when the Sangiovanni were
not so widely accepted, he came in as ³della Moretti² since his mother was
Moretti. He is a cookie cutter Sangiovanni, right in line with canon. A
Family first man, painfully Venician, devoted to his covenant and clan. A
fun little twist that was added was that since the Moretti are a
world-reknown glass sculpting family, that it would be kinda cool that some
of us take it as a craft specialization. Also, the della Moretti are
founded on Haitian Voodoun and Bokor magics (you know, all that death stuff
and necromancy. ;-) So, Crone was a natural place to put Œem. Voodouisant
families are known to pass along their rites and rituals, so it got added
that the della Moretti were all Voodouisant Crone. Once Cousin Michael
convinced Gabriel that they could ³come out of the closet² so to speak, the
Sangiovanni got added to the name.

Now, they¹re known as the ³della Moretti Sangiovanni². A respected family
with deep roots in the founding of Haitian Voodoun, masters of death and the
beyond, passionately loyal to their Family and Covenant. Some of us are
even rumored to have mastered Spirit Cruac, but I will not confirm nor deny
this. whistles innocently. They¹re not dual bloods, they¹re not long lost
cousins (all are painstakingly accounted for, lineages back to the first
generation), and are right within Canon. But, its got a few unique quirks
that have made some cool RP up here. And not to mention, people love their
Elysium gifts of ³Original della Moretti Sangiovanni Sculpture².

It didn¹t happen overnight, but it ended up with some awseome ties and RP.
There are now deep alliances with other Voodouisant families, Carthian
allies who would lay their lives on the line for the Sangiovanni, among
other things.

I guess what I¹m saying is that its all in the twists you add when you play
them. The NW seems to be pretty tight, and we got each others back
regardless of Covenant. Hell, you put Michael and Gabriel in the same room
with some poor sap who has wrong the Family, and it could very well get ugly
for that dude. ;-) Brandon can attest that we¹ve put some heavy firepower
in the region in alliance with this Family. And we both have our own
³quirks².

It¹s not whats in your pants, but how you write with it?

......wait.....that came out wrong.

I¹ve said too much.
