So, it's been pointed out that 200Mp/s would be adequate for high framerate at 1600x1200.

Comments? Opinions?
A fairly uninformed opinion.
Some quick googling seems to indicate dat 200 Mp/s is about what my current ATI Rage128 GL does (two pixels per clock, ~ 100 MHz) which means that it would be enough for me.
Performance-wise, it means the Harbinger (... but I still like Graphite) would still allow me to play the game "Syberia", which is the only game I've enjoyed in a number of years. Just bought Syberia II a couple of days ago. This "XPert 128" I have is minimal for it, although that might be due more to the 16MB then the Rage128 GL.
Actually running Syberia would require DirectX 8.1 drivers, by the way. Thought I'd mention the game, in case you'd like a good example of a non-hardcore game (with beautiful graphics) at least one list member thinks would be good to be able to run :)
