I see here only Japanese, Chinese and maybe Indian
as a problem. From all other countries i expect that
those who are skilled enough to use an FPGA board to
be able to understand an english documentation.

I don't see Hindu as a problem, India as a former british colony has quite high percentage of english speakers and as far as I have understod there are much english used at the universities. English I think would go well for India.

I don't know about the Chinese and Indian market,
but the Japanese would be really one worth to target.
I can tell you that Japanese love cool gadgets :)

I don't think there are any major differences between a Chinese and a Japanese when it comes to cool gadgets, specially a consumer electronics like phones, mp3-players, cameras and other stuff you can carry around and show to people. Playing with electronics I guess is something that people may do more in the larger cities like Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing and of course over at Taiwan too. The main problem with "China" is that we need two versions really, one in Traditional Chinese (Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and Singapore) and Simplified Chinese (Mainland China). There are big communities in US (and Europe) with people knowing TC, which should make somewhat easy to find a person who could do the translation. It could be more difficult with SC, but some exchange student may be able to do that work (of course both cases require that we manage to atract those two persons who will be able to do this for OGD).

Does anyone know someone who'd be able to do a
technical translation into one of these languages?

In worst case we can use the google translator to make a crud translation to Japanese and Simplified Chinese. If we do that, I think we should announce in a such publication for a person who would be able to make a proper translation, to show that we are fully aware of the low quality of the translation.
