Do you want to see if it runs, or if it can actually write to the
3S4000? I can certainly try installing it (windows and linux), but I
don't know if I have the right FPGA to test with.
If you happen to have a 4000 on you and you have a cable, please go
right ahead. Otherwise, there are minimum levels of what I want to
find out. I'm sure you can install it. Does it let you create a
project that targets the 3S4000? Given some trivial design, can you
synthesize it? Ultimately, can you create a bitfile for it?
Support for the 4000 could be broken at any number of different
levels. For instance, it may let you select the part and run the
synthesizer, but the P&R tool might refuse.
