Beside the SIG registration, OHF shall be ready sooner than later.
Though, and more pragmatically, are we twenty, thirty, or even more and
start the pool ?
Someone suggested that it might be inappropriate for OHF to have the
membership and Traversal to use it. I'm not sure, though.
Howard, Andy, and I may just have to bite the bullet, beg our wives,
and spend the money ourselves. It's just that it doubles the cost of
producing prototypes. We can use any vendor ID we want for
prototypes, but we still have to spend that money for a legitimate
membership before we get our first revenue.
On further thought, though, it seems reasonable for them to charge a
lot of money for membership. There is only "space" for 65535 vendor
IDs.
