Since everyone else has already suggested some random new name, here's mine: Free Interface Graphics, with only 17 google hits on that phrase. I think it's nice because it says exactly what part of this project is most important to be free: the interface. Having the synthesizeable Verilog and the ASIC masks under the GPL would be cool, but I don't get the impression that this is primarily what the project is about. It IS about the *interface* being free - free as in free beer AND as in free speech. FWIW I think that going through the project documentation to make sure it references Free Software in preference to Open Source is already a good conciliatory move to please the FSF. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFFp1HlwyMv24BBd/gRAro6AJ9i6y5qNyLhd+kBjtf/968VR4s/UACfaZPa XYFs9hTJlqRZzdiIOF4FAH0= =ksFX -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ Open-graphics mailing list [email protected] http://lists.duskglow.com/mailman/listinfo/open-graphics List service provided by Duskglow Consulting, LLC (www.duskglow.com)
