Well. I was thinking about German some more today. Word splicing
is standard practice in that language.

Native speakers will surely correct any spelling errors.
In French, it would probably be hyphenated, rather than squished. I
don't know what the proper wording would be.
Another English variation might be
Graphics Liberation Project
or
Computer Graphics Free Companions

Yeah. It's a good descriptive phrase to use early in our
organization writeups.
At this stage of the organization's life, I'd say Free Design is
something we aspire to, rather than something we can promise by a published
date.
