You're right Tim, as well as Benjamin.
Nonetheless, the HDCP requirements and alike, look like more a way to
create a dedicated hardware (a disk player and so on), rather than to
enable the home-pc-center. This latter is a Microsoft idea and
necessity.

I really wonder if Apple will encumber its computer line of product with
that (assuming that any monitor will not become a problem)
I would bet that Apple enable its mini mac just for this purpose as an
other product.

Sure, it's expensive for the user when one knows that a single box could
do everything.
