We should do the VGA controller.  We have certain parts done and just
need to finish up others.  Two companies have formally approached us
so far, but neither has wanted to commit because we don't have it
finished.  Perhaps if we do, they and/or others will want it also.
Plus, to implement this drives us to do a number of other basic things
as well.

We can dig into the details of this as we go along, and there are
discussions of this in the archive.  What we REALLY need is a wiki
page that details everything and tracks progress.

Yeah.  This is one of the reasons why we can't use some of the stuff
on, for instance, Open Cores.  I'm sure that it wouldn't be there if
it failed simulation, but much of the stuff there synthesizes very
poorly.  I don't mean to be down on OpenCores.  I think it's awesome.
It's just that hacking Verilog is easy.  It's just another programming
language.  Designing chips is a different matter.
