We should do the VGA controller. We have certain parts done and just need to finish up others. Two companies have formally approached us so far, but neither has wanted to commit because we don't have it finished. Perhaps if we do, they and/or others will want it also. Plus, to implement this drives us to do a number of other basic things as well. We can dig into the details of this as we go along, and there are discussions of this in the archive. What we REALLY need is a wiki page that details everything and tracks progress. > > I've been through the tutorials on the page, and I grasp the concepts, > so it shouldn't be all that hard. This is one of the reasons why we can't use some of the stuff on, for instance, Open Cores. I'm sure that it wouldn't be there if it failed simulation, but much of the stuff there synthesizes very poorly. I don't mean to be down on OpenCores. I think it's awesome. It's just that hacking Verilog is easy. It's just another programming language.
