My point of view on this matter is that modules SHOULD be installed
into system-wide perl modules repository. This is why we have made such
modules.

Next SuSe distro will include (and use, I guess) at least two modules.
I think these module could help dealing with crypto related objects and,
if there is the need, useful in many situations.

This is true, but I was suggesting having the web part installed in:

        $prefix/var/www

as we all agree the var/ dir should be where we store data. Anyway I am not
against the usage of the apache usr/ style.

That's true but one thing: if you want to use a backup unit such as tapes
for import/export you can not relay on any filesystem... I think raw
devs are the right choice.
